We definitely have two very different paths to vote for come next month! I am trying to get my early voting in..I am a BIG promoter of voting so I will be casting my ballot asap:)
Are you voting this year? Did you sign up for the Cookie Swap?
What did you find interesting in the debate last night?

Turn The Page Tuesday Week 8: Halloween Edition

I am so glad it's Tuesday:) We have a fun day planned and I am looking forward to it. I hope you all had a great Monday! I read an awesome verse this morning while I was doing my bible study and I thought I would share. I am doing the study of Genesis and it is phenomenal!! Its amazing to really learn what God planned from the very beginning and even before the earth was formed. Everything is from Him. This verse was just an encouraging reminder of how God intends for us to be with him.
"But if anyone obeys his word, God's love is truly made complete in him. This is how
we know we are in Him."
1 John 1:5
I encourage you to look up the closest (BSF) Bible Study Fellowship to you and join in this study!

It is also time for another week of Turn The Page Tuesday! For those of you who are new, click the highlighted link for more info:) This week's choice is a classic. I am sure most of you have this one or have at least read it. But, this one reminds me of being a little girl. We always watched the Charlie Brown specials around any holiday. The books are great because now you can read them before the show airs:)

It's The Great Pumpkin,
Charlie Brown
By:Charles Schulz

Charlie Brown and the gang are excited for another year of Halloween festivities. Halloween parties, trick-or-tretaing, and lots of candy:) While the Peanuts gang are getting their costumes ready and preparing to trick-or-treat, Linus is planning something else. Linus is busy writing his letter to the Great Pumpkin. He is more concerned about getting to the pumpkin patch in time to see The Great Pumpkin. Read along to find out if Linus sees the Great Pumpkin, despite the disbelief of his friends:)

WIAW

Happy Wednesday!! I hope your week has been great so far:) So I am going to go random for just a minute. Yesterday I was made aware of how many times I use an an exclamation mark to finish a statement. I have noticed it before, but never really realized the full magnitude of the usage;) I find that I use them a lot in text messages for some reason. So, my goal today is to try and not use so many:) So, here goes....

On another side note, I was doing my thing yesterday, with my 1.5 year old tailing behind. I asked him if he had a dirty diaper and he said yes;) So, I proceeded to go get him to change it. As I turned around I noticed him running into the bathroom. When I got in there he was pointing at the toilet. I asked him if he wanted to go potty on the toilet and he said, "YES!" I was shocked. I am not quite sure that he is ready to start the potty training process yet, but I'd say when we do he will catch on pretty quickly!:) He was very proud of himself when I clapped and praised him;) I have heard from some "mentor" moms of mine that having older siblings really helps with the potty training process. The fact that Eli has Wyatt to look up to, follow around, pester, and shadow, I am hoping will pay off:)

Now on to What I Ate Wednesday!!! Head over to link up with Jenn of Peas and Crayons.

Breakfast
Pumpkin Spice Muffins
Lunch
Turkey Sandwich on Rudi's
w/Chips

Dinner
Chickfila!!!!:)
(this deserves exclamation:))

Well, there ya have it. Any days that start or end with a Chickfila stop are GREAT days:) We also had TWO new bloggers link up with us yesterday for Turn The Page Tuesday! Get your book choices made and come join us next week:)  Come back tomorrow for the muffin recipe and some more blog fun!

Do you use a lot of exclamation marks when you type? What are your potty training secrets?
Do you love Chickfila as much as I do?:)

"Fall" into What I Ate Wednesday

The week is halfway over, and that means it's time for another edition of "What I Ate Wednesday!" What a perfect time for Jenn to bring up starting new habits. I am striving to take a lot of the time I spend on social media, i.e.: Facebook, etc. and spend more time in prayer. When I am in prayer, I am ensuring my walk with Christ is growing!
I hope you all had a very blessed Tuesday. It was a busy one in our house today. I have been doing some experimenting with some recipes and have come up with some yummy stuff! I made a new muffin recipe and we literally ate muffins all day;) I think Elias ate like 8 mini-muffins! I have also been brainstorming on what kind of fall wreath I want to make for our front door. I can't decide if I want to go the football or fall themed? I guess we will see what I find at Hobby Lobby;) I will probably be walking around with a Starbucks "fall" item as well;)

What "Fall" items are you excited about?

WIAW Summer Staples

Well, we are up and moving this morning, and waiting for Tropical Storm/hurricane Isaac to blow our way:/ This is our first hurricane season in Louisiana, and it is starting out strong! Thank you to those who came over yesterday and read up on "Turn The Page Tuesday!" We hope you link up with us next week!! It's Wednesday which means its time to link up with Jenn over at Peas and Crayons! This is the last week of the "Summer Staples", so I am glad I am able to link up!:)
Like I said last week, my biggest summer staples are fruits and veggies!! My family has about 3 servings of fruits and 2 servings of veggies a day..sometimes more! So needless to say, I love Farmer's Market Time! My husband loves what I come home with, yet he gets the "eye-rolling" going when I ask to stop. In his defense, we have a few different stands in our town, so it usually isn't just one stop;)
We picked up these cherries at Whole Foods this past weekend! If you haven't gotten any this summer, hurry up and grab some! They are to die for!! They aren't so fun cutting up for the boys, but they are a big hit;)
I am in LOVE with these tiny tomatoes! These are perfect for a snack, even for babies! I have given them whole to Eli, and that in itself is awesome!;) I also used them for a Taco Bar!

This is always a staple, no matter what time of year. But, when we are heading out and need a quick lunch, the boys and I dig in. You would think I was dangling meat from a tiger when I pull out a Chobani;) They both crowd around....

This has been a summer lunch staple for sure!!! YUM. Very filling and so delicious. You can buy the couscous at Costco, and since we don't have one, I have my mom bring some when she comes!

***************************************************************
On a funnier note, I wish you could see my boys right now...they are totally breaking it down to Disney Channel "rap":) Yep, I'd say we are ready for Wednesday!;) Praying for all of those in the path of this nasty hurricane! Stay safe!
Tomorrow is new recipe day and a picture update on my sweet boys!!:)

Time for WIAW!

It's Wednesday and a chance to link up at "Peas and Crayons" for another "What I Ate Wednesday"!!! I hope you all had an awesome Tuesday:) It was a busy one at our house, but a lot of fun. Wyatt and Elias had a play date at our house yesterday and you should've seen their playroom afterwards..;) I have to say I love it though! I am so thankful that we have such wonderful friends and most importantly that my boys have lots of friends. It is just another part of our life that solidifies God's plan-its so much better than ours;)

My friends are all pregnant or having babies which is a bonus for me;) My friend Hannah came up for the first time since her daughter Isla was born. Isla is simply precious!!! So, I was able to snuggle and love on her for a few hours! The rest of the day was spent getting dinner started and finished, and getting ready for another busy day today:)

My summer staple you ask?!?!?! Fresh from the garden FRUITS AND VEGGIES!!!!:)

Breakfast: Kashi Blueberry Waffles
&Turkey Bacon

Lunch: Kale and Sausage Foccacia Pizza

Dinner: Broccoli Mac and Cheese Soup
with Homemade Biscuits

Remember that next Tuesday is our big launch day for "Turn The Page Tuesday!" I am so exited about it and can't wait to see what books you all post!!!! Have a blessed Wednesday:) :)

WIAW

Yay for Wednesday! We are halfway through the week and I am ready for the weekend:) My mom gets here Friday so more family time to come=perfect! It is a very busy week this week, but of course I have enough time for another week of "What I Ate Wednesday" with Jenn over at Peas and Crayons!!
Breakfast
Quaker Hearts with Sliced Banana
Lunch
Turkey Sandwich on Homemade Wheat Bread
with Veggies and Hummus

Dinner
McAllister's Club with Mac and Cheese
Today is Wyatt and Eli's first Easter party:) I am so excited for them, and also for another chance to entertain! I love having get togethers and plan on having them any chance I can. It also gives the boys a chance to have friends over for something fun! Although Easter baskets and Egg Hunts are fun, we will be focusing on why we celebrate Easter! Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice on the cross and 3 days later, on Easter, rose again!!! Praise be to him and him alone for he IS risen!!!
Have an awesome Wednesday! I am putting together my Giveaway post and will post the Easter party tomorrow!:)

WIAW #1

Since I got my new camera, one thing I really enjoy taking pictures of, other than my family, is food! It has so much color and photographs so well! Since I have a lot of food pictures, I thought I would jump in on "What I ate Wednesday" this week! If you want to join in just hop over to Jenn at "Peas and Crayons"

Breakfast
Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

Lunch
We went and met Weston today since we were already in the area! We just picked up Subway:) I did have some "Green" spinach in my sandwich!
Dinner
Chicken Rollatini with Roasted Brussel Sprouts

I got this recipe from a great blog! www.skinnytaste.com She has an awesome blog and this one was delicious!
**********************************************************************
I really like to roast my veggies! I have also been prepping my fruits and veggies after getting home from the Commissary. I wanted to try "snacking" on those instead of the less healthy choices:) so far, it has made a huge difference! My husband even came home from work saying he felt better and had more energy in the day from eating the raw veggies:)
Hope you had a wonderful Wednesday! I am ready for the weekend! If the rain holds out, we are BEACH BOUND!!!:)
