Well, there has been a lot going on here in the Layfield household:)
My sister Audrey and her boyfriend Harrison came out for a visit! They stayed about 4 days and we had a blast! I cooked and baked a lot, which I love! Audrey and Harrison were also able to come to Weston's award ceremony! We went on some long hikes at a beautiful place we just found here in Belton, and enjoyed the outdoors! Our pool is open so we spent some days there, as well! I was so happy to have them here!
Wyatt is potty training!! YES!! We started back when he turned 2, and as you can see, it is a work in progress;) He is doing better everyday. He has gone both ways in the "froggy pot", not if we can just do that everytime!? I am so proud of him. We are now in "big boy" undies, and he has a new found freedom. He has been going through this phase of not wanting to be treated like a baby. So, he is doing a lot more "on his own". He eats with regular silverware, drinks out of a regular cup, does not wear a bib and gets nothing on his shirt, says "thanks", and so much more. He amazes me everyday how much he knows and picks up on. He can also count to 10! I meant to get it on video today, but it has been crazy and it slipped my mind...tomorrow, maybe?! He is so precious to my heart.
Elias is amazing. He is almost 10lbs and chunky little mess. I enjoy so much staying home with my babies. Eli is different than Wyatt, but boy do they love eachother! He is a little impatient with me sometimes, and he is a teeny bit spoiled:) He is starting to smile and respond when I talk to him...it is already flying by. He will be 3 months old on the 4th!
Weston made the Captain's list this week!!! YAY! I am so proud of him! He will be promoted before we head to Missouri. He has been working really hard to sell this house and get us moved smoothly.
As far as the house, we are still in the selling/renting process. Although it can be frustrating, God has a plan, and it will all work out. I will miss Texas and our sweet little home! Looking forward to making a new one!!
MY SISTER IS GETTING MARRIED!! Gates proposed to Brittany last week and we could not be more excited! They are getting married in October and we are in full wedding planning mode!!!
The next time I blog we will be Missouri residents! I am looking forward to spending the summer outdoors with my boys!
Love,
RL
