Today was a day of giggles. Wyatt is really coming into his personality. Between him and Weston, I laugh all the time. Today, Wyatt kept getting his book and going and standing in the corner. He would just stand there in the corner and talk to himself. Then, all of sudden, he would look up at me and smile-as if he knew I was watching the whole time. Which I was:)
Then came bed time. He had taken a nap today, so he wasn't ready when bed time came around. I let hime fuss for a little bit, and then went and got him. We came out in the living room and laid on my shoulder for about 10 minutes(which is unheard of since his recent independence) Then, he smiled, got up and started playing so sweetly. He then came over, got his blankie, and went and laid down on the floor with his book. It brought tears to my eyes..
He is getting so big and I am so proud of him. I am so happy that I can spend everyday and every moment with him.

10 days and counting..
Well, I cannot believe we are under two weeks until Weston is home. WOOHOO! I cannot wait. Wyatt has no idea what is coming, but he does know who Daddy is. Last week we were on post, and a soldier in a uniform passed us, and Wyatt followed him with his eyes. Today, while we were playing he asked to get up on my lap. I picked him up and he saw Weston's picture on the computer, and said, "Dada". Next weekend will be amazing.
I am also amazed at the promises of God in my life. He doesn't promise it will be easy, but he does promise he will be right there with us. That he did. Without my God, I never would have gotten through this, nor come out a better woman. Because of this I am a better woman, wife, and mother. It can be hard to choose to do it God's way, but it is beyond incredible when we do.
We are slowing gettin ready for Weston to be back. I have so much to do, and can't wait until next week when I can actually start preparing. I want to have some small things done for him for when he gets here.
My friend Amanda and her husband Brian welcomed their first baby boy this week. Jackson is here, and Wyatt finally has a little friend, and I have baby fever...oh, wait..I always have baby fever. I am thankful God blessed me with such wonderful friends.
Continue to pray for my Grampa Sis. He has been having some seizures and they aren't sure why. He is an amazing man and I know he is on this earth for something special. But, prayers are never wasted.
We love you all, and I will catch up with more tomorrow~

Come Sunday...It'll be alright..
With a little inspiration from Jimmy Buffet, Sunday is the day!!! Sunday, February 7, Weston will be on a plane bound for home!! We are 22 days out, and it feels like time is slowing down. We are beyond elated to be together, and cannot wait for some good family time. Other than Weston's parents, I am hogging every second of leave;) He will be flying for about 2 days, no less maybe more, and as soon as he is out of Afghanistan, I will be on cloud nine!
My sweet Wyatt has mastered the art of walking. He is all over the place and into everything. I really thought I couldn't enjoy anything more than when he was an infant, but I am truly enjoying him right now. He is really coming into his own, and his personality is showing it's sweet face. He has started saying doggie (didgie), dada, yes (ches), and this (dis). I LOVE IT. He is so precious and my heart just melts when he talks to me. He has started following me around the house and getting into everything. It keeps me even busier than before:) He makes me laugh all the time, which like I told you before, is wonderful since Weston is gone. He has 6 teeth and his smile is killer!!!
Weston is still doing great-ready to come home. He has been moved 4 times since he deployed, but has learned so much and has been able to see places and meet people he would never get an opportunity otherwise. We have lots to talk about, which is exciting for me, becasue he hasn't been able to say much in 9 months.
I am really trying to update more often, and will try and update a few more times before he gets home. But, starting this week I am in "Weston's coming home" mode, and have a lot to get done, so we will see.
My 88 year old Grampa just had his leg amputated this week and is doing great. He has had problems with it for the last few months, and when gangreen (sp) set in, they had to take it. We were not sure how it would play out, but it was successful, and we are thanking God. Grampa is a little drowsy, which is quite humorous, but overall is great. Thank you for all the prayers and love.
Will write again, soon! Love to you all!

2010! A great year it will be!
Happy New Year!
I cannot believe it is 2010. This is the year that Weston comes home from his first deployment:) We have 35 days until he is here, at home, with us! WOW! I am amazed. God brought me through this and I am so glad he did. Weston's RandR date was moved up! Now we are expecting him home around the 7th. I am beyond excited and cannot wait to see my sweetheart!
Today will be a day to remember in our family from here on out. Weston's precious grandfather passed away this morning. He was such a loving, giving, sweet man. He battled the last couple months with some minor issues, which turned into bigger issues. Thank you Jesus that you sent your son, for which now we have eternal life in You. Tom is in heaven celebrating!
We had a wonderful Christmas. I am amazed every year at how blessed I am! My parents and Weston's parents are so giving. We cam home with lots of great gifts. Nothing that compares to what Wyatt came home with. We have enough toys for an army of kids:) It was so nice being with family, visiting with friends, and traveling to DC to see my Grampa. I rarely get up there, so I am so glad we made it! Wyatt met some of his aunts and uncles for the first time! It was very special.
Speaking of Wyatt...he is officially walking. I am so proud of him. He is getting so big! He is saying a few words, as well. I have gotten him to hand me his plate and cup when he is finished eating, he can say yes, and I think he is starting to understand please and thank you. He did great in the car ride to and from Georgia.
Now we are back home, after a wonderul trip, and we are now getting ready for Daddy to come home. I have some things I am doing for Weston for when he arrives. I would tell you, but he reads this blog sometimes and I don't want to spoil it. I will fill you in when he leaves. Weston and I are planning a one night getaway when he gets here in Feb. His parents are going to keep Wyatt while he and I sneak off to Austin for a night. He has put together a incredibly romantic itinerary and I cannot wait. I LOVE surprises and being pampered. One of the things I love about Weston the most is he is always surprising me! He is VERY clever and always thinks of something to make me feel loved.
Continue to pray for our troops, their wives, and families. Thank you for those who keep us in your thoughts and prayers. You are so appreciated and loved.
Much Love and Happy 2010!
