I am a pretty good Momma, but a bad blogger!;)

Hi everyone! I have not meant to drop the line on our life, but it has been a beautiful whirlwind since our precious son arrived on October 14.

We are doing great! We love being parents, and often find ourselves wondering what we did before we had Wyatt. Since we last posted, I recovered from my C-section. After 35+ hours in the hospital, an hour of pushing, and then a C-secton, I was wiped! Thank God my mom was here. I tell you, even though it was a long, painful, tiring experience, I would do every bit over again. My only prayer, other than a safe and healthy delivery, mom, and baby, was that my family could make it. And just as God promised, My mom, mother-in-law, and aunt made it in perfect timing. The entire experience of bringing Wyatt into this world was just as I wanted it. My precious Husband was my rock and my strength. My mom was there when I needed her the most, my MIL was an angel and I wouldn't have wanted to do any of it without her. My sweet aunt braided my hair, and did some of the hardest work-sit there and do NOTHING.

We came home, and adjusted to life as new parents, and a new family. We are still amazed each day at how much better your life can be when you strive to do it God's way. It isn't easy at times, but so worth it. Thank you to everyone for your thoughts, prayers, encouragement, and just for reading the blog through my pregnancy! I love being pregnant and cannot wait to make our family bigger!

Now, Wyatt is 5 months old, and growing like a weed! Here are a few of my thoughts I have journaled since he arrived:

Month 1:I loved him from day one. A love I cannot describe. I cherish these times with Wyatt and Weston. These are days I will hold so dear to my heart. You are such a good baby! You don't really cry much, and even when you are hungry, you just sqeak, and I know. Nursing was a difficult task, but we got it!

Month 2: You love to eat! After eating, you slouch over my shoulder and are completely limp! I love knowing that breastfeeding is ALL you need. God is indescribable! At the end of this month, we got some coos!

Month 3:This was a great month! You really became a big boy! You loved to eat, and your weight gain was proof! You have beautiful eyes, just like daddy that melt my heart. You are your father's son..More and more eveyrday! I LOVE IT! You know me and know Daddy.I have learned all of your cries, and you have learned how to gag yourself with your two fingers!

Month 4: You laughed out loud! It was amazing! You pulled yourself up and love standing up.Daddy can calm you down by singing, and you begin eating cereal toward the end of this month. We recorded it and you ate it right up!

Now, Wyatt has just began eating some sweet peas. I am making his food myself. I am going by the Super Baby Foods book. It tells you how to make Natural Homemade baby food. Wyatt is almost sitting up, about ready for a highn chair, and loves to be happy. He is so much like Weston, and I just can't get enough of him! He is the spitting image of Daddy with some hints of momma;) Those two together are a sight for sore eyes! He weighs about 17 pounds, is going to be really tall like Weston, and is changing everyday! By far, I love this month the best!

Right now, I am staying at home-Everyone who knows me, knows this has always been my dream. I try to be the Best Wife and mother I can be. My sweetheart deploys in May with the 410th. He is strong, wise, and encourages me everyday! I am still head over heels in love. More today than ever! I will miss him like I can't describe but we are FULL OF PRIDE!!!

I will do better with blogging, I promise! And I hope to find you all doing well!
Much Love,
Weston, Rachel, and Wyatt

Beautifully done, Rachel. I know all moms can relate to your feelings of providing life and health to your child. You are right, there is nothing like it.

You are wrong about one thing though, you are not a pretty good mom, you are an exceptional one. I'm very proud of the woman/wife/mother you have become.

Love you heaps-
