Sweet Summertime!

I am sorry it has taken me so long to catch you up! I will catch you all up soon! For now, we are doing great! I don't think we have come up for air, yet:) I am so happy to have Weston home, and have our family together again. Correction, we were always together in spirit, but now we are in person, too:) We are about to go on Block leave for about 3 1/2 weeks, so I will blog little bits here and there, but not much until we are home! Thank you all, again, for your love, support, and prayers! I will blog about the homecoming before we go out of town!

Love,
RL

Happy Mother's Day!

"An excellent wife, who can find? For her worth is far above jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil all the days of her life ... Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she smiles at the future. She opens her mouth in wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and bless her; her husband also, and he praises her, saying: 'Many daughters have done nobly, but you excel them all.' Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised."

Proverbs 31:10-12, 25-30:

Thank you God for all you have given me. The gift of my mother, grandmothers, and most of all, allowing me to have this gift myself!

Goodbye Afghanistan, Hello USA!

I have been waiting for this day for a year! It has finally come. My husband has left Afghanistan, and is on his way home to Texas! I am beyond words! I have just about never been happier!

Wyatt is doing well! He has made me so proud the last few days. Yesterday, while we were at Amanda's, I was trying to get Wyatt to pick up toys before bed. He wasn't cathing on;) Next thing I noticed, he had picked up a toy, gone into the baby's room and put it in the correct basket! I was so proud it brought tears to my eyes!! Weston will be just as proud...he IS just as proud!

Hopefully, I will hear from him soon, and when I do, I will update!!
Thank you all, again, for prayers!!!
Love to you,
RL

A look back...

Weston has completed his first tour of duty in Afghanistan! I am so proud of him. I cannot believe how this year has come and gone...THANK YOU LORD! Here is a look back at what this past year held....

*Amanda and I became roomies from day one, and have been the best of friends since.

* I do not know what I will do when we all move apart one day.

*Weston and I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary via Skype!

*My precious precious "Pops" (Grandpa) passed away. He battled cancer for 8 years, but thank the Lord he never suffered. I knew how much I would miss him when the time came, but I had no idea. My heart aches when I think of him. I think of him daily.

*I became a technician, mechanic, lawn care crew,etc..I learned a lot about myself and what I am capable of.

*My family and friends made lots of effort to visit me out here in Texas. It made things so much better.

*Wyatt turned 1! I missed Weston a lot this day, but was so proud of my baby!

*Amanda and I had fun shopping for her soon to be baby boy, Jackson!

*Holidays in Georgia! It was wonderful to be with my family in Weston's absence. I was able to get together with old friends, spend time with Sissy's and relax! Wyatt also got some good quality time with family;)

*Wyatt took his first steps!

*My 25th birthday came and went. I found out Weston was coming home a week early for RandR! It was a great surprise!

*Weston came home for RandR!!! February was a great month! I was so elated, and we were finally back together again. We did a lot in the 2 weeks he was home!!

*We have done lots in the past few months, but are anxiously awaiting our Love's return very shortly! God brought me through this with flying colors. He has made me trust and love him more. Without my faith in him, I do not know where I would be. To Him be the glory! Completely.

Thank you to all of you who have prayed and supported us~ I will soon be blogging on our life being back to normal!
Love to you all,
RL
